Hello, Kayla here. Below is my PowerPoint for my Creative Critical Reflection.

Music Video Blog- Final Product

Hello, Kayla here. This Blog will be my second to the last Blog for this music video project. The song that was chosen for our video was "Apparently" by J.Cole. I was able to shoot at my home seeing as my father was able to finish the part of his project that was preventing me from doing so. In the opening scene of the MV, you see my fellow scene pattern Hervis and myself walking down the street together before we check out cellphones and see us part ways once again before we move out of the frame and are gone. The next scene picks up with me and Herv walking into our individual homes on split-screen. We both as shown in the video eventually make our way to our bedrooms before Hervis sits on his bed and starts his homework while I, on the other hand, sit at my desk and remove my Chemistry book and my Laptop inform my bookbag, and start my homework. The scene then switches to Hervis finishing off a painting and myself writing a song in a notebook when J. Cole says "This

Production Blog- Editing

Hello, Kayla here. Today my group and I finally sat down and edited the entire video. We managed to be able to do it, but it wasn't easy; we ran into some difficulties along the way. The editing platform my partner Ariel planned to use kept freezing after about 5 minutes of use. This wouldn't work out for the project so she had to go search for a new editing platform. So, today we started off conversing about how we are planning to finish off the project. Then after a conversation between Ariel and myself while reviewing a video I decided to edit it. So, as I looked at the video I noted what she was talking me about. She had mentioned that there was this part in which one of the clips she was trying to add had a cut. Said cut thew off the whole video so we were trying to find a way to make it seem natural. It took a while but then I noted that there was a mistake made. That same video wasn't supposed to be in there. As I mentioned in my previous blog we filmed the opening s

Production Blog- Filming

Hello, Kayla here. So, today I filmed the scenes for the intro of the music video with my group mates. After school we meet up with each other. There was an initial mishap with one of my group mates Hervis about where filming was going to take place so he ended going to what was the original location for this scene. Ariel my other group mate and I spoke to him via text and cleared it up. When we, got back together we ended up walking down one of the streets across from our school. Ariel was the director in this instance. Me and Hervis being the actors per usual. In this scene me and Hervis could he seen walking down a street before we turn to each other and part ways. When we are walking and basically up until we park ways we are talking and that can be seen in the shots we filmed today. So, we filmed two different shots today. The first being us simply walking away which was a wide shot and would be the opening scene to the music video. Then Ariel moves to us and then this shot starts

Production Blog-Filming

Hiii, Kayla here. So, my group and I discussed how long our shots need to be. This was due to my counterpart who will be in the video with me has completed their clips. The clips that we have so far when reviewing were a little over the time that we had anticipated going in once it was all added together. It wouldn't really matter because I have to match the time that was done by my counterpart in the video. A big part of the concept of the video is that we are simultaneously going through essential the same struggles in a yes so similar but different way. So, I would have to match his pace anyway. I also, discussed with them the clips that I already did. I said I was going to re-shoot them because of the fact that none came out the way that it was supposed to come out. I did get home later than usual today so there was a bit of a set back for attempting to film once again. So,  what I did when I got home was this... I didn't place my phone on a stack of books this time but pla

Production Blog-Filming

Hello, Kayla here. So, filming has been a bit complicated. I started filming by myself at first but now I will get my family to help me. I started to film the shots of me in my bedroom first. It is a bit out of order in terms of how it should have originally been filmed. I filmed about two scenes and those scenes was in the middle of the video. In the first scene filmed, I placed my phone on a stack of books while facing me at my computer table. In that scene, you can see a stack of notebooks and scattered pieces of paper with my work on it. I was doing chemistry homework which you will be able to see clearly when I re-shoot the scene with assistance. I will have assistance because when I tried to do the overhead shot on my own it went too fast over the actual packet. I tried to slow the speed of the video but that didn't work so I ended up reshooting the video. In said re-shoot the packet wasn't even in the video because of the angle my arm was at. I tried to re-shoot it a cou
