Production Blog- Filming

Hello, Kayla here. So, today I filmed the scenes for the intro of the music video with my group mates. After school we meet up with each other. There was an initial mishap with one of my group mates Hervis about where filming was going to take place so he ended going to what was the original location for this scene. Ariel my other group mate and I spoke to him via text and cleared it up. When we, got back together we ended up walking down one of the streets across from our school. Ariel was the director in this instance. Me and Hervis being the actors per usual. In this scene me and Hervis could he seen walking down a street before we turn to each other and part ways. When we are walking and basically up until we park ways we are talking and that can be seen in the shots we filmed today. So, we filmed two different shots today. The first being us simply walking away which was a wide shot and would be the opening scene to the music video. Then Ariel moves to us and then this shot starts off as a close up. So, this scene is when we look at out cellphone and see the time before we turn to each other and this is where you can see us talk before we dap each other up. So while this is taking place between Hervis and I, Ariel is filming the shot while walking/moving backwards at a managed pace to catch the shot perfectly. We then proceed to walk away from each other and split up after a quick second going into seperet directions. We did this all in about 10 minutes seeing as we had some trail and error shots and then re-watching each shot to see if everything was good or not. We talked about how we would have to trim down some shots but we wanted to keep all the content in it. So, I suggested seeing as these shots were filmed from my cellphone that I could trim out the unnecessary parts of the video. So, after we directly get what we need to get just cute out the rest of the seconds. And then I also recommend putting it at 2x speed just to speed it up a bit. So, that was all I did today for filming.

Final Review: Changes actually made.

Hello, Kayla here. So, this blog will be about tbe actual changes that were made to the film. Some of the suggestions that were made to me by my family were done and some on our own. The shooting scene in my opinion wasn't too graphic so that was left the way it was. We saw no reason to re-shoot it. I also, took into consideration what was said to me and we did end up shortening the shooting scene. That was originally 11 seconds and was trimmed down tremendously. I also did some changes to the lighting. So from 0:48 seconds to 1:05 I created and added a sunlight filter. From 1:05 to the ending of the video I made and used a nighttime filter. It took me a while. I thought the filters were already made but turns out it wasn't. So, I had to use the color adjustment settings to get them to come out the way we desired. I also did end up adding some fade-outs but took them out in the end. I had to export like three different videos and go back to add ontop each. The behind the scenes...

Title Research: Mission Impossible 2

Mission impossible 2   1. How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones?   There are only 3 titles the producer Tage and the director tag and the title of the movie. This movie decided to take the fast option giving you the most important tags for the opening. To get their idea across quickly on what type of movie it is going to be.    2. What connotations do the images carry? (how do you they make you feel)   The titles are in between very intense images, editing, and sound going on with the titles it makes me feel pumped and ready to watch a action packed movie. The opening gets you prepared for the intensity of the movie.    3. How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? Commercial Blog

Hi, Kayla here. This blog is my 2nd to the last blog for this project. This is the commercial blog where the video/ actual commercial is shown here. This commercial is about an ink joy pen and the attributes said pen has. You can see that in the commercial I was using a different pen officially. But, that pen as shown in the video was causing issues and not working properly. I was then given a pen which turned out to be an  Ink Joy pen before I proceeded to start writing. You can hear me explain how the pen writes smoothly and work wonderfully. The filming experience was great to say the least. I really enjoyed the process of filming this commercial.
