Editing Blog

Hello, Kayla here once again. I started my editing process today by combining the video which is our 1st take and the opening scene from our commercial with the second clip. I trimmed the clips a little so that they could flow into one another. But, then a problem arose, the two clips on separate days, and because of that, some things had to be trimmed to a certain point. With that being said the expected product of those two clips wasn't what was actually produced. So, I informed my partner of this and they took up the editing of that clip. I continued to try and combine and trim the videos only for there to be some other issues like not being able to blur the logo. So, once again my partner just started editing from their device instead. I still gave my input. I had recommended us actually not blurring the logo because the final shot was already a fade-out that faded out into the ink joy logo. The ink joy logo is actually the closing scene or clip so I said just leave it as it showing the logo instead of also trying to fade it out. The reason why it wouldn't fade out was that it apparently was not transparent which wasn't realized until that moment. I also tried to see if I could on my phone combine the slit screen shot with the scene after that. The split-screen shot was already actually edited and in that split-screen format. Unfortunately, I didn't get the result I wanted. The two clips did not flow into each other/ incorporate the way they were supposed to. I also recommend to my partner to see if we can blur out the clips. In the end, everything ended up being blurred including me so that is something that I need to see if I can fix. I also recommended removing any type of sound or sound frequency in the original videos because I will be doing a voice-over for the video and didn't want them to overlap.
